About

The 11th Niseko Classic enters the 9th year as part of UCI Gran Fondo World Series, known as official citizen races of UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale).
For this year, we are having Niseko Fun Ride as a pre-event!

Location

The Fun Ride courses take you around the following areas of Hokkaido; (TBD)
Mount. Yotei / Kutchan Town / Niseko Town / Makkari Village / Rusutsu Village / Kimobetsu Town / Kyogoku Town / Toyako Town

Main Venue and Schedule

June 14, 2024 (Friday)
-Niseko Grand Hirafu Venue
-Pre-event Registration: 12:00 at noon - 6:00 PM

June 15, 2024 (Saturday)
-Niseko Grand Hirafu Venue
-Registration Starts: 8:00 AM

100km Fun Ride:
-Registration Closes & Safety Briefing: 9:20 AM -
-100km Fun Ride Start: 9:30 AM

60km Fun Ride:
-Registration Closes & Safety Briefing: 9:50 AM -
-60km Fun Ride Start: 10:00 AM

Final Finish Time for Both 100km and 60km Courses:
-3:00 PM

*Note: The schedule is subject to change.
*Attendance at the mandatory "Safety Briefing" held 10 minutes before the start of each course is required.
*Both courses will have aid stations/checkpoints set up along the route.

Ride Information

60km Course:

The 60km Fun Ride starts from Niseko Grand Hirafu venue, touring through Niseko Town, Makkari Village, Rusutsu Village, Kimobetsu Town, Kyogoku Town, and finally returning to Kutchan Town via the iconic Mount Yotei in the Niseko area.

100km Course:

The 100km Fun Ride starts from Niseko Grand Hirafu venue, heading south through Niseko Town and Makkari Village to the shores of Lake Toya. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Mount Yotei while passing through Rusutsu Village, Kimobetsu Town, Kyogoku Town, and concluding the circuit in Kutchan Town, returning to the Niseko Grand Hirafu venue.

Participation Requirements:

1. Junior High School Students and Above:
Minors require parental consent.
*Elementary school students can participate if a parent or guardian participate in the same Fun Ride.

2. Required Equipment:
Participants should bring their own bicycle, helmet, and gloves. ( your own equipment or rentals )

3. Physical Fitness:
Participants should be in good health without any hindrance to physical activity and possess the riding ability and stamina to complete their chosen course.

Caution

1. Event Format:
This event is not a race but a Fun Ride. There are no planned traffic restrictions, so participants are kindly requested to prioritize safe riding in accordance with traffic rules.

2. Course Map Information:
Course map data will be provided on "Ride with GPS." Please review the route before riding and ensure you can check it during your ride.

3. Self-Ride Event:
This event is a self-ride. While there will be aid stations with supplemental food, they may not cover all needs. Please bring any necessary items yourself.

4. Post-Ride Data Cooperation:
After the ride, we may request cooperation in providing ride data for safety management and risk avoidance.

5. Checkpoints and Aid Stations:
Checkpoints and aid stations are set up along the course to manage group and rider numbers. Please be sure to stop at each one.

6. No Littering:
Littering is strictly prohibited. For environmental conservation, please carry your trash with you.

7. Emergency Contact:
In case of emergencies or if you need to retire during the ride, please contact the NISEKO CLASSIC headquarters at 0136-55-6081 / +81(0)136-55-6081 using your mobile phone.

8. Passing Checkpoints within Time Limit:
If you cannot pass a checkpoint within the specified time, staff may instruct you to take an alternative route.

Entry Fee

60km Course:
7,000 yen + payment system fee
3,500 yen + payment system fee ( for elementary and junior high school students)

100km Course:
12,000 yen + peyment system fee
6,000 yen + peyment system fee ( for elementary and junior high school students)

※ Please be aware that refunds cannot be issued under any circumstances.

Entry Period

Until May 16 (Thu) 6 p.m.

*Once it reaches the capacity, the entry will be closed.
