About Team Relay
First Ever in Japan! UCI Gran Fondo World Championships Team Relay
The Team Relay is a special championship event held during the finals of the international amateur cycling race series, the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, in which the Niseko Classic participates.
To commemorate the finals being held in Niseko in 2026—the first time ever in Asia—a pre-event Team Relay will be held in the Niseko Classic 2025 to build excitement for this historic occasion. This will be Japan’s first “on-road team relay” cycling race.
Why not take on a one-of-a-kind race that combines personal strength and team spirit?
[Race Overview];
Team Format: 4 riders per team (mixed gender)
Course: A 2 km urban circuit (each rider completes 3 laps, total 12 laps per team)
Rules: Each rider completes 3 laps before handing off to the next teammate. The final time is recorded when the last rider crosses the finish line.
Key Point: Team strategy and rider order are crucial! Expect thrilling developments all the way to the finish.

While this Team Relay will be held as an exhibition race, the winning team will receive a luxurious prize.
