< Tour de Fukushima to Become a Qualifier for the 2026 Gran Fondo World Series! Exciting New Chapter & Race Presentation >
The 2025 Tour de Fukushima, scheduled for September, is undergoing a major transformation. It will be held in accordance with the UCI Gran Fondo format as a pre-event for the 2026 qualifier.
In 2026, the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships will be held in Niseko at the end of August. With Tour de Fukushima expected to become an official qualifier race in June 2026, riders in Japan will have a chance to compete for a spot in the World Championships—a first-ever opportunity on Japanese soil.
A special presentation on the 2025/2026 edition of Tour de Fukushima will be delivered by sports journalist Kenji Hashimoto, the race director and course planner.
