Thank you very much for your interest in the 4th Niseko Classic. The following is a detailed information for the participants.
①Exchange of bib
◆Bib, number plates, and timer chip will be handed over at the registration desk. Please identify yourself with your name and competition category. These items will not be mailed.
Questions on the registration – please contact Sports Entry or the administrative office.
②Final on-site registration for the race (on the day of race)
◆On the race day, all the participants are required to have an entry signature at a designated spot. Upon receiving the signature, the final registration is complete and a participant is officially valid to participate. If no signature is confirmed by the administrative offices, a participant will be disqualified.

◆Location: Hirafu Snow Resort
◆Please identify yourself with your name and competition category for an exchange of bib and timer chip.
※These items will not be mailed.
※No on-site registration is accepted on the day of race (9th).
◆After the registration, a registered participant (JCF registered participant) must goes through license control. Please have your license card ready and visit the license control center.
⑥Souvenir for the participant
◆A souvenir is distributed to all the participants. Upon completing the on-site registration and license control, please proceed to the designated area. The staff will lead your way.

◆A briefing session is held by the administrative offices and the federations. Details on the race and other important matters will be covered on this session and all the participants are encouraged to attend the meeting.
◆Please carry your insurance card all the time. (photo copy accepted)
◆If you have a license card from a federation, carry this card as well.
◆Participants from non-Hokkaido region: Air cylinder for puncture may be limited to carry on board to a plane. Please contact an airline for more detail and restriction.
⑨Access to Hirafu Snow Resort
・New Chitose Airport – Hokkaido Route 16 – Route 276 (via Kimobetsu) – Kutchan: Approximately 120 minutes
・Sapporo –Route 230 –Route 276 –Kutchan: Approximately 180 minutes
・New Chitose Airport Station – (via Sappro and Otaru) – Kutchan: Approximately 180 minutes
Transfer required at Otaru Station or Otaru and Sapporo Station.
※Please note that Otaru – Kutchan route’s train is running every 1 to 2 hours only.
140 km race participants
◆Date: July 9 (Sunday) 5:20～6:20
◆Location: Hirafu Snow Resort locker area
◆A cloakroom will be allocated in the resort The belongings are to be returned upon the finish of race.
②Final registration for the race (on the day of race)
◆Date: July 9 (Sunday) 5:50～6:20
◆Location: Special signboard , located at Hirafu Snow Resort
The final registration begins from 05:50. A signboard is allocated on the start line and each participant is required to sign your name to finalize the registration. If your signature is not confirmed, a participant is automatically disqualified from the race.
◆July 9 (Sunday) 6:20～6:35
◆Location: Hirafu Snow Resort, Start grid
◆Opening ceremony is held 30 minutes before the race begins. Once the final registration is complete – wait at the start grid. Upon finishing the ceremony, the race begins.
70 km race participants
①Handover of bicycle
◆July 8 (Saturday) 9:00～15:00
◆Location: Hirafu Snow Resort Bicycle Handover Point
◆To those participants who wish to hand over a bicycle for the transfer to the start point, a bicycle should be surrendered at the handover point.
Upon the assembly of bicycle, place a chip and hand over. (GPS and computer chips are to be installed right before the race begins.)
In a case of damage of you bicycle while in transportation – the administrative offices will not be responsible for the damages.
To those participants who require the service, notify the intention upon the initial registration.
The bicycle is handed over to each participant at Rankoshi Ranran Park on July 9 (Sunday) 0600-0730.

◆Location Hirafu Snow Resort Temporary Bus Stop
◆A shuttle bus service to Rankoshi Ranran Park is provided on the race day.
Those who request for the service, notify the intention upon the initial registration.
◆July 9 (Sunday) 6:00～7:30
◆Location: Rankoshi Ranran Park temporary cloak area
◆A cloakroom will be allocated at the start point. The belongings are to be returned upon the finish of race.
④Final registration for the race (on the day of race)

◆Location: Special signboard , located at Rankoshi Ranran Park
◆The final registration begins from 07:30. A signboard is allocated on the start line and each participant is required to sign your name to finalize the attendance. If your signature is not confirmed, a participant is automatically disqualified the race.
◆July 9 (Sunday) 8:00～8:15
◆Location Rankoshi Ranran Park Start grid
◆◆Opening ceremony is held 30 minutes before the race begins. Once the registration is complete – wait at the start grid. Upon finishing the ceremony, the race begins.
～Both 140km and 70km race～
①Age category and starting
◆Both 140km and 70km races are categorized by the age group. The race beings in the order of younger group to elder (UGFWS group), then non-UGFWS group.
◆Age group is classified by a bib and frame plate. UGFWS is divided into 8 age categories for both male and female participants. Please refer to the manual for the detail of categorization.
◆At the registration on the 8th of July, all the participants receive a timing chip. Please refer to the manual for its proper installation.
◆140km road race: The first 2km is a parade zone. COM vehicle leads to the “real” start point and do not take over the vehicle.
◆70km road race: The first 3km is a parade zone. COM vehicle leads to the “real” start point and do not take over the vehicle.
◆Participants must arrive at regular checkpoints within specified time limits. If a participant is unable to reach a checkpoint in time, she/he will forfeit the event, and be required to place a bicycle on either a truck or bus which will transport to the finish line. A participant is not allowed to continue on the bicycle. ※ Checkpoint details are yet to be finalized.

◆Participants must be well-aware of a slowdown banner and when the banner is witnessed, slow down and ride carefully.
A participant that passed 31km HOT POINT first is awarded to Kyowa Town Spring Award.
◆A participant that finishes 1st on the checkpoints
A participant that passed 47km KOM first is awarded to Kyowa Town Hill Climb Award.
A participant that passed 109km KOM first is awarded to Rankoshi Town Hill Climb Award.
⑦Retiring from the race
◆If a participant decides that she/he can no longer continue the race, contact the nearest officials or security. Retired participants are shuttled by a bus and bicycle is to be transferred to the goal by the administrative offices.
◆In a case of accident during the race, call the administrative offices immediately. (0136-55-6081). Doctor’s vehicle and ambulance are arranged immediately.
⑨Upon completing the race
◆Upon completing the race, follow the instruction by the on-site staff.
◆The top 3 finishers from each UCI age category are awarded. Aside from this award, top 3 finishers from each distance will also be awarded. The award winners must attend the ceremony.
⑪Result / Certificate of race / Medal
◆Time: July 9, 1200-1500
◆Location: Result board and other designated spot
◆Upon completing the race, result will be issued on the website and result board. Certificate of race and medal are also distributed at the designated spot.
If you miss an opportunity to stop by and receive the medal and certificate, it will be kept at the administrative office until the end of August. It will not be mailed.
